Cramant, Cote des Blancs
DESCRIPTIONBorrowing the name from the Arthurian legend, Lancelot-Pienne is based in Cramant, one of the most celebrated Grand Cru Villages in the Côte de Blancs. With just 8 hectares, Gilles Lancelot, himself a trained oenologist, dedicates his days to the vineyard and cellar. Favouring low dosage, relatively late harvests and the extremely interesting, albeit slightly risky, use of the Solera system for ageing and blending his top cuvées.
The Instant Présent cuvée is a Blanc de Blanc in a Brut dosage style, with 7 g/L of sugar. It’s a refined style of Champagne but with concentrated fruits; lemon, grapefruit, white flowers and ripe peaches, with an underlying creaminess on the palate. This wine is stored under the ‘solera’ system which adds complexity and texture to the final blend.
Perfect serving with seafood, cheese or as an aperitif.
