Lake Breezes, Bull Ant Cabernet Merlot 2011

Lake Breeze winery is located in the Langhorne Creek region of South Australia, an ancient natural floodplain with fertile soils that are perfect for several grape varieties. Slow ripening is aided by the cool maritime climate, which in turn is moderated by the cooling wind coming off of Lake Alexandrina that locals refer to as the ‘Lake Doctor’.

This ‘Bull Ant’ is a rich, concentrated blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot showcasing flavours of blackberries, mocha, mint, and eucalyptus. 10 months spent maturing in oak has softened the wine and resulted in a smooth, velvety texture and a long, satisfying finish; this would complement a hearty roast lamb dish deliciously!
