THE VINEYARD:
Located in the AOC of Fitou, La Palme's coatal location benefits from its unique maritime ecosystem. Coastal breeses keep the vines warm at night and sea sprays refresh the vines , while the soils remain warm and dry yet extremely mineral rich. This makes the grapes very concenrated, complex and ripe in flavour.
THE WINERY:
Since March 31, 2012, the vineyard of Domaine de la Grange is fully organic and AGRICULTURE BIOLOGIQUE certified.The grape harvest is destemmed, the vinification is 21 days long, one delestage, the temperature is controlled between 23 and 27 degrees to preserve the fullness of the aromas. The fermentation is made in stainless steel tank as well as the conservation. The 10 month aeging is made in stainless steel vats.
TASTING:
A beautiful dark ruby color, open nose with notes of ripe fruit, undergrowth and spices with a rich mouthfeel, elegant finish and well integrated tannin. Would pair well with red meats, game, and Mediterranean cuisine
