The Cros-Pujol family has been producing wines for 5 generations, since 1877, starting with a small parcel of land in the Languedoc and farming with a single horse and donkey. The winery has since grown exponentially, and now prides itself on combining tradition with modernity. This particular cuvée is produced with grapes from vineyards in the appellation of Faugères, however, due to Chardonnay not being one of the permitted grape varieties to be qualified for the region’s ‘AOP’ status, the wine is released as simply ‘IGP Pays d’Oc’.
On the nose and on the palate tropical notes of pineapple and grapefruit abound, with more subtle undertones of almond and vanilla. Many seafood dishes would pair beautifully with this wine.
