THE WINE

Exclusively made from fruit picked from the estate owned 7.2 hectare Clos Des Forets Saint Georges vineyard notorious for producing some of the most exceptional Nuits Saint Georges wines.

Made in a very ""hands-off"" way favouring lower extraction and elegance, this is an extremely aromatic wine featuring a wonderful bouquet of strawberry, cherry, spices and violets.

THE WINEMAKER

Formally a proficient skier and respected long-distance yachtsman, Jean Pierre de Smet was hired as winemaker since the Domaine's creation in 1987. Through his good friendship with Seysses at Domaine Dujac, there is a clear similarity in style with their wines both being beautifully balanced and intense in flavour (despite the pale colour).

Fully biodynamic since 2003 and owner of some seriously good parcels of land such as the monopole Clos de Forets St Georges near the tiny pituresque village of Premeaux-Prissey.
