Daphne Glorian of Clos i Terrasses is something of a legend in the Priorat of Spain. Alongside the iconic and incredibly influential winemakers Alvaro Palacios and Rene Barbier, Glorian was one of the key people who brought the Priorat region back from the brink of extinction. She was encouraged by Palacios and Barbier to spend her savings on a parcel of vines way back in 1989, before the region regained the celebrity status that it enjoys today. The first ten vintages were made at Clos barbier, but after purchasing a cellar from Palacios, the wines have gone from strength to strength, and are enjoying a fine reputation for quality and longevity.
This deeply coloured blend of Garnacha, Syrah with a touch of Cabernet Sauvignon is full of intense aromas of blackberries, red cherries and wild herbs. It is concentrated and structured with a great ageing potential.
