Formerly known as Château Couperie, the abandoned estate was bought and revitalised as Chateau Dassault by aircraft manufacturer Marcel Dassault in 1955, achieving Grand Cru Classé status in 1969. Today, the estate is headed by Marcel’s grandson, Laurent. ‘De de Dassault’ is the second wine of the Château, and is of superb value offering juicy notes of plump raspberries and black cherries. A smooth and delicious wine, great for pairing with leg of venison or earthier, mushroom-based dishes.
