QUICK FACTSCote Ronnaisse, Loire
DESCRIPTIONDomaine Serol has been in the family for 5 generations, passionately cultivating their 28 hectares of vineyards deep in the Loire, which they are in the process of converting to organic viticulture. Their main grape variety is Gamay Saint Romain, a local grape variety which is best suited to the climate of this region.
The current winemaker is Stéphane Sérol, who took over the estate in 1998, following his parents, Robert and Marie Thérèse, who had already set high standards for the domaine's viticulture. Alongside his wife, Carine, Stéphane replanted some vineyard parcels on the hillsides and integrated his respect for the environment into his viticultural practices, with the goal of preserving the grapes true expression and isolating the best terroirs to reveal their unique identities.
This Sparkling wine exhibits ripe strawberries, pear and raspberry aromas. In mouth, the aromatic expression of Gamay is emphasized with fine bubbles and flavours of red apples and strawberry tarts. The slight residual sugar is well-balanced by a lively finish and juicy acidity.
A seriously surprising and delightful wine; fun, fresh and fruity. Perfect for garden sipping or a picnic in the sun.
